Iaido Web Dojo

an online service of the Nippon Karate-do/Kobudo Seishin-Kan

You are here:  Home > Iaido
Welcome to the Iaido Web Dojo -- the section of the Web-Dojo dedicated to promotion of authentic, traditional iaijutsu.  Here you will find information and resources to help you improve your understanding and performance of traditional iaijutsu and iaido.

Although the philosophy and techniques described here are Muso Jikiden Eishin-Ryu iaijutsu, you will find they apply to any martial art or style you may be practicing.  Eishin-Ryu shares a common heritage with all forms of traditional bujutsu (martial arts) . . . the heritage of bushido (the Way of the Warrior).

Iaijutsu is not merely a martial art; it is a Way of Life -- one that can have a profound impact on the success of those who practice it.   So browse freely around our site and use whatever you find helpful in your study and practice of iaijutsu.

Our goal is not to convert you to our style, but to make you better at any and every style you practice. So, before you leave please visit our message board or send us an e-mail to let us know how we can improve our services to you.

What's New?

New look and structure

The Web Dojo has been completely redesigned, and features an improved navigation and menu system that we hope will find your way around the Web Dojo site more readily.

What would you like to see?

In the first two years of the Web Dojo, most of the content has been information we thought martial artists should know.  But, one of our major goals is to become one of the Internet's most important martial arts communities.  And we can't do that without your help.  What would you like to see at the Web Dojo?  What topics should we cover?  What techniques should we explain?  What will help you the most in your martial arts journey?  Please visit our message board and give us your suggestions for future Web Dojo articles.
